<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode active substance for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery, with excellent battery characteristics even under a severer use environment. <P>SOLUTION: The cathode active substance for the nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery contains at least a layer-structure lithium transition metal complex oxide. The lithium transition metal complex oxide has at least a first lithium transition metal complex oxide and a second lithium transition metal complex oxide. The first lithium transition metal complex oxide has secondary particles as conglomerates of primary particles, with an average particle size of the primary particles of 0.1 to 5 μm, and an acerate degree coefficient of 60 to 100%. The second lithium transition metal complex oxide has secondary particles as conglomerates of primary particles, with an average particle size of the primary particles of 0.1 to 10 μm, and an acerate degree conefficient of 20 to 100%.
