PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar antenna capable of being usable for transmission as well as reception. SOLUTION: The bar antenna (1) consists of: a ferrite bar group (3p) comprising a bundle of a plurality of ferrite bars; a resonance coil (5) wound on the outer circumference of the ferrite bar group (3p); a variable capacitor (51) connected in parallel with the resonance coil (5); and a feeding coil (7) wound on the outer circumference of the ferrite bar group (3p). At least, the resonance coil (5) consists of an aggregated bind wire (11) formed by bundling a plurality of raw coated wires (13) to suppress deterioration in the antenna efficiency due to the skin effect so that the bar antenna (1) can be used for even the transmission purpose.
