PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the proper initialization of a non-volatile memory(NV-RAM). SOLUTION: Initialization is executed based on an initialization program at a predetermined point of time when a power is turned on in electronic equipment, and even at the execution of initialization process, format process based on a format program is executed based on an inputted format instruction. As a process before factory shipping, the initialization program and the format program are stored, and when a power is turned on, the format instruction is inputted, so that the format of a non-volatile storage means can be realized, and that a non-volatile storage means whose data contents are indefinite can be turned into a proper data status.
