PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid dry fish meat shaving machine which reduces pressing force simultaneously with advance of a pressing plate operated by an air cylinder device after the pressing plate approaches a plane blade up to a predetermined position, and shaves the meat satisfactorily substantially to the last. SOLUTION: The meat is nipped between a disc 4 having many plane blades 9 and the pressing plate 14, the disc is rotated and driven, and the pressing plate is energized onto a disc 4 side by the air cylinder device 17 to press the meat against the plane blade for shaving. Pressing force of a cylinder rod 17A is indirectly transmitted to the pressing plate through an elastic energizing member 20. After the pressing plate moves and approaches the plane blade up to a stroke end of the cylinder rod, it moves further up to an approach limit position by repulsion force of the elastic energizing member so that it approaches end of shaving of the meat, and size of the meat is gradually reduced. Even if abutting area between the meat and the plane blade is reduced, pressure of the plane blade acting on the meat is not increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
