<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display two-dimensional image data even in the case of a stereoscopic image display device. <P>SOLUTION: A display part 31 which has a plurality of signal lines arranged in a row direction and a plurality of scan lines arranged in a column direction and also has pixels, whose positions are determined on a display surface, arranged in matrix on a plane so that pixels in the same row direction are connected to the same signal line and pixels in the same column direction are connected to the same scan line, a plurality of buses through which color image data are transmitted, a signal line driving circuit 12, a light beam control element 32 which has a plurality of apertures and a plurality of lenses and controls the direction of light beams from the pixels, and a changeover switch device 16 which operates based upon a horizontal synchronizing signal and a vertical synchronizing signal and has a plurality of switches changing connections between the plurality of buses and the input terminal of the signal line driving circuit where the color image data are inputted, are included. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
