PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material which has the improved surfaces of reinforcing fibers, has improved adhesiveness and impregnability on interfaces between the reinforcing fibers and a matrix resin, and has remarkably excellent impact resistance by selecting the matrix resin. SOLUTION: This molding material comprising the reinforcing fibers, a surface-treating agent for the reinforcing fibers, and a matrix resin, is characterized in that a test piece of the molding material is not broken in a charpy type impact test according to JIS K 7077 (1991) and a bending stress at the maximum load point is≥900 MPa in a three point impact test according to JIS K 7084 (1993).
