PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize cleaning conditions of a clogged filter depending on the variation in ink lots and the storage time of ink. SOLUTION: An ink tank has information about the stability of ink and recovery method of an ink jet recorder is adjusted depending on the information about the stability of ink. Alternatively, recovery method of the ink jet recorder is adjusted depending on the period from the date of manufacture of the ink tank to the data of loading the ink tank to the recorder.
