<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel safety device of a vehicle capable of effectually giving an alarm to an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: When the safety device calculates the relative relationship including the distance between the vehicle and an object based on the result of detection of an object detection means for detecting an object present ahead in the direction of travel of the vehicle, it determines a presence of possibility of contact between the vehicle and the object based on the result. When it determines there is a possibility of contact, it activates in parallel an automatic braking device for automatically decelerating the vehicle and a seat belt device 15 for automatically tightening a seat belt 14 and releasing the tightening. The relative relationship calculation means 39, a brake control unit 38 controlling an automatic braking device, and an electric seat belt control unit 35 controlling the seat belt device are connected to the connection bus 36 of the LAN inside the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
