<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a printer or the like in which impact position of an ink drop can be corrected precisely in the main scanning direction. <P>SOLUTION: In the printer comprising an ejection head for forming dots on a body to be printed by ejecting ink drops, and a density reading means movable in the main scanning direction together with the ejection head and printing a correction pattern having a plurality of subpatterns for correcting deviation in dot forming position using the ejection head, the density reading means reads out the density of the correction pattern while moving in the main scanning direction and corrects deviation based on two or more subpatterns having a peak in density out of the plurality of subpatterns. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
