PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser igniting engine capable of adopting an absorption laser ignition system by avoiding the occurrence of damage to a seal glass by laser beam even if the laser beam is a laser beam of such a large laser beam energy as in the absorption laser ignition system. SOLUTION: In this laser igniting engine, an air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber is ignited by plasma generated by radiating the laser beam from a laser transmission device to points in the combustion chamber from a laser beam condensing device installed in a cylinder head. The laser beam condensing device comprises a condensing seal glass having a condensing surface formed thereon to condense the laser beam at the outlet of a laser beam transfer means and gas-sealing a combustion surface and a seal glass fixing means fixing, fluid-tight, the condensing seal glass to the mounting hole of a cylinder head.
