<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent power shortage by minimizing power consumption of a ventilating fan ventilating the inside of a case containing components of a fuel cell system. <P>SOLUTION: A usable power of the ventilating fan 7 is set in accordance with an operation state of a load consuming generated power of a fuel cell stack 1. A period in which the power consumed by the ventilating fan 7 is limited is set based on the preset usable power, a nitrogen storage volume of a hydrogen circulation channel L5 is calculated in accordance with an operation state of the fuel cell stack 1, and a purge stop time that is an interval for keeping a purge valve 5 in an open state if the nitrogen storage volume calculated reaches a given level within the period in which the power consumed by the ventilating fan 7 is limited is decided so that the power consumption of the ventilating fan 7 is minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
