<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an eye of organism, a photo, and an artificial eye by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: An eye EY of a person to be photographed is illuminated by the same axis as optical axis of a camera 11 to photograph it. At this time, if the eye EY is an eye of organism, retina reflection occurs, and luminance of a pupil region is increased.
