<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular travel safety device capable of excellently giving an alarm to an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: A relative relation including a distance between a vehicle and an object is calculated on the basis of a detection result of an article detecting means for detecting an object existing in a traveling direction of a vehicle. The possibility of contacting between the vehicle and the object is determined on the basis of the result.
