<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device capable of preventing an optical axis from fluctuating even if environmental temperature changes. <P>SOLUTION: When mounting a half mirror 41 as an element for separating an optical path for outgoing light and return light on a resin-made device frame 6 of the optical head, the half mirror 41 is temporarily fixed by a press spring 8. Next, after applying an epoxy adhesive 7 as a thermosetting adhesive between the upper face of the half mirror 41 and the device frame 6, the epoxy adhesive 7 is hardened by heat treatment. By this heat treatment, the residual stress is removed from the resin-made device frame 6. Thereafter, the other components are mounted on the device frame 6.
