PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify the height of a bottle on the basis of an LED matrix in a bottle inspection device for inspecting a glass container using the LED matrix. SOLUTION: The bottle inspection device is constituted so as to illuminate a bottle 10 on a conveyor 12 by an LED matrix light source. In this bottle inspection device, an intensity pattern periodic in the vertical direction is prescribed to facilitate identification of flaws, and it is configured so that the maximum value (arrow 38) of the intensity pattern corresponds to the intensity of the LED opposing the top part of the bottle.
