PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle equipped with a plurality of electric driving means capable of avoiding such an occurrence that the driving means go in failure approximately at one time owing to water intrusion etc. SOLUTION: The steering device for the vehicle is structured so that two electric motors M1 and M2 are installed inside the housing 21 of a steering mechanism 20 and actuated in response to the operation of a steering wheel 10 so that the steering mechanism 20 is driven so as to turn the vehicle wheels in steering, wherein potting 26 is applied to the stator part 24 and the electric feed part 25 of the first electric motor M1, whereby the setting level of the waterproofing function as one of its M1 protective functions is made higher than the setting level of the waterproofing function of the second electric motor M2.
