CARBON FIBER CORD FOR DRIVING BELT REINFORCEMENT AND DRIVING BELT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carbon fiber cord for driving belt reinforcement, which develops high load transmission dealing with width narrowing of driving belt and high resistance to fatigue from flexing. SOLUTION: The carbon fiber cord for driving belt reinforcement is a cord for driving belt, which comprises a resin composition containing an epoxy resin and a rubber latex adhered to a carbon fiber bundle and has 40-80 times/m number of first twists. The strength of the cord is 10-16 cN/dtex and the elongation at 4 cN/dtex load obtained from a stress-strain (S-S) curve is 0.5-1.2%. The driving belt is obtained by using the carbon fiber cord for driving belt reinforcement as a belt core. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
