PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make uniform individual discharge characteristics of ejectors of an ejector group with the ejectors arranged in a matrix shape. SOLUTION: Dummy ejectors 250 in the same configuration as that of the ejectors 50 and even filled with ink are arranged in the outer periphery of the ejector groups 52 excluding the ejectors 50 faced to a boundary of the upper and lower ejector groups 52. Dummy ejectors 350 configured to make a resonance frequency nearly equal are disposed at a gap L between the upper and lower ejector groups 52. Each ejector 50 of the ejector groups 52 is equally influenced from the ejectors 50 adjacent in the periphery and dummy ejectors 250 and 350. Consequently, the discharge characteristic of each ejector 50 of the ejector groups 52 having the ejectors 50 arranged in the matrix shape is made equal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
