A vehicle lamp (10, figure 1) comprises a semiconductor light source module 100 for generating light, an optical member 256 operable to emit the light produced by the light source module 100, and a light source fixing member 202 for fixing the light source module 100 to a reference position a relative position of which with respect to the optical member 260 is predetermined. The vehicle lamp (10, figure 1) is also provided with reference members (452a, 452b, figure 22) which are fixed to be fitted to the reference position when the light source module 100 is fixed to the optical member 256. A semiconductor light emitting element 102 for emitting light from a lighting region has at least a linear boundary 258a, and a holder member 708 for fitting the linear boundary 258a to a fixing position the relative position of which with respect to the reference members (452a, 452b, figure 22) is predetermined, so as to hold the semiconductor emitting light 102. |
