The road vehicle fuel tank filler cap closure plug (10) has a central bore (35) in a cylindrical body (11) with a retaining groove (33). An inwardly-directed flange (32) accommodates a spring-loaded non-return valve body (36) allowing fuel to be pumped in. The fuel flows past the valve body and through a narrow bore (40) in a cylindrical block (39) which may be screwed onto place. The fuel flows through a feed tube (45) toward the bottom of the tank A narrow bore (34) at the side of the plug receives the end of a vapor pressure equalization line (44) with its end held above the liquid level by a float (43).
