<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital information distributing system, with which each customer can easily select information he desires in an information providing device. <P>SOLUTION: An information providing device 20 obtains purchase recording data, stored within a purchase recording memory 35 of an information recording regenerating device 30 and management data stored in an information contents managing memory 32 and reads out the genre of information contents being recorded now, or which were recorded in the past within the information recording regenerating device 30, when the customer detects that the information recording regenerating device 30 has been connected. Based on this information, the menu displayed to support the customers' selection of digital information is constituted so that whatever genres or artists the customer likes are always displayed close to the head of the menu by the customer with an information selecting menu structure making portion 25, thus making the customers' selection of the information easy and prompt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
