Metal impurities removed from zinc solution

The solution is subjected to oxidative precipitation using an oxidising agent and a buffer which holds the pH between 3.4 and 5.5. Main use is to precipitate iron from Zn, e.g. using air/NH3 - ZnO or O2 or O3 or Cl/NH3-ZnO.
