<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method capable of efficiently sealing a predetermined cell opening part on both end surfaces of a honeycomb body and to provide a boring apparatus used for forming a through-hole in a sheet in the sealing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the sealing method of honeycomb body, sheets are adhered on the surfaces of one end and the other end, the through-hole which is communicated with the predetermined cell opening part and pierces the sheet is formed, the through-hole is communicated to the cell opening part to which the through-hole is communicated and sealing material is charged. Therein, on the basis of a reference mark disposed on the sheet which is adhered on the end surface according to the predetermined cell opening part on the end surface of at least one side of the honeycomb body, an cell opening part which becomes the reference of the through-hole formed on the sheet adhered on the end surface of the other side is stipulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
