<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording disk unit in which a tilt of an optical recording disk on a turntable and of an optical axis of a laser beam emitted from an optical head mechanism are adjusted, and which is made thin as a whole unit, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In order to adjust the tilt of the optical recording disk 7 and of the optical axis in the optical recording disk unit 1, two guide shafts 41, 42 are first fixed on a chassis 6, then a frame 3 is mounted on the two guide shafts 41, 42. A disk driving mechanism 5 is mounted on the chassis 6 after adjusting the tilt of the disk driving mechanism 5 on the basis of the guide shafts 41, 42.
