INERTIAL LATCH MECHANISM AND INFORMATION RECORDING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inertia latch mechanism which is highly reliable and can be mounted even on an information recording device, such as a thin disk drive device. SOLUTION: The inertia latch mechanism and the information recording device equipped therewith have a freely rotational inertia arm 6 which is engaged with an actuator 3 when the position of a head arm is in a retreat position or near the same and is disengaged from the actuator 3 in the position proximate to a disk or near the same and an energizing means which holds the posture of the inertia arm 6 by magnetic attraction in the position where the actuator 3 is disengaged. Further, the device is provided with a rotation regulating means which regulates the rotation in a counterclockwise direction when viewed from above the inertia arm 6 by opposing a regulating section 9b of a coil arm 9 and an abutting section 6b of the inertia arm 6 in the engaging and disengaging state of a coil arm side engaging section 9a of the coil arm 9 and an inertia arm side engaging section 6a of the inertia arm 6.
