PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven hook and loop fastener which eliminates resin coating and fusing between yarns for fixing the base parts of pile loops and achieves not only air-permeability but also its transparency (seeing through) performance by forming clear rectangle gaps. SOLUTION: The woven hook and loop fastener of a hook and loop fastener is obtained by forming the pile loops (15 and 116) weaving pile yarns (14 and 115) simultaneously with weaving base fabric consisting of base yarns (11 to 13, and 111 to 114). The pile yarns (14 and 115) forming the pile loops form the loops across at least two wales W and thereafter form woven stitches by successively entangling at each woven stitch of the base yarns of at least three adjacent courses C on the wales W. Among the woven stitches of the pile yarns (14 and 115) formed entangling at each of at least three adjacent courses C, at least one woven stitches positioned at an intermediate part are formed with a closed loop.
