PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cup, which is made by attaching a tape material on the inner surface of a joint or ends of a trunk member to cover the ends with the tape for joining, and can be used for holding a content liquid having high dissolution property or for a taste-emphasized application, and to provide a manufacturing method for the paper cup providing high productivity. SOLUTION: According to the paper cup and the manufacturing methods for the same, the inner surface of the joint, where both ends of a trunk member blank are joined to form an end face, is covered with the tape material for end face treatment. The tape material comprises a center layer and a cover layer covering the center layer, and the cover layer consists of the innermost layer of a lamination forming the paper cup and a heat adhesive resin. The innermost layer of the lamination and the cover layer of the tape material are made of a resin mainly composed of an ethylene-αolefin copolymer resulting from polymerization using a single site catalysis.
