PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens driving device for an optical disk device, the driving device which has increased thrusts in a focusing direction and a tracking direction while consuming low power and suppresses vibration in a rolling mode in spite of shift of an in-focus position of an objective lens to have improved reproduction characteristics. SOLUTION: Each of magnets 6A and 6B for generating magnetic forces in a focusing coil 8 and a tracking coil 9 is magnetized with three poles of an N pole in the center and S poles on both sides of the N pole in the tracking direction, and sides in the focusing direction of the tracking coil 9 are arranged opposite to an N pole 6n and S poles 6s respectively to generate a double thrust (electromagnetic force) in the tracking direction. Since lengths in the optical-axis direction of permanent magnets 6A and 6B are larger in comparison with the tracking coil 9, the magnetic field intensity is made uniform to suppress the rolling mode in an objective lens. Boundary parts of three poles are arranged on both outsides of a yoke 7Ab to increase the thrust (electromagnetic force) of the focusing coil. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
