DATA TRANSMITTING APPARATUS AND DATA RECEIVING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the amount of hardware is enlarged by requiring a PLL circuit for generating a clock synchronized with a broadcasting station for both a transmitting apparatus and a receiving apparatus when a clock (27MHz) synchronized with the broadcasting station is required at a receiving side in the case of using a transmission line of IEEE1394 or the like for data transfer of an MPEG transport stream.

SOLUTION: A reference time stamp for reproducing a system clock is extracted from transport packet data of a transport stream, the extracted reference time stamp is added to a transport packet data as header information, and the transport packet data and the header information are converted into transmission packet data and transmitted.
