PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a posture controlling electric wheelchair wherein an up and down stroke of a seat section can be enlarged by adding a rotation control of a different section to a rotation control of expanding and contracting a wheelbase. SOLUTION: A seat body 12 of the seat section and a corner part of a seat back 7 are fixed each other and a proximal end part of a front wheel supporting frame 2a and a front part of a seat section frame 11 are pivoted by a main body frame 1a which supports a rear wheel 1 driven with a motor. A corner part is pivoted by the seat section frame 11 and the posture control is performed in a travel motion mode, a down mode of the seat section and an up mode in which the seat body of the seat section 12 is rotated to a horizontal position while the seat section frame 11 is lifted by rotation and inclined to the front, by a power cylinder 20 which rotates the front wheel supporting frame 2a with respect to the main body frame 1a to expand and contract the wheelbase, a power cylinder 30 which rotates the seat body of the seating section frame 11 with respect to the main body frame 1a and a power cylinder 40 which rotates the seat body of the seat section 12 with respect to the seat section frame 11.
