PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent drops of water that fall down on the outside surface of an exhaust pipe from being entrained to a gas outlet, with regard to a gas-liquid separator equipped with a liquid discharge valve. SOLUTION: A swirl vane 12 is installed in an annular space 11 between an outward cylinder and an inward cylinder of the exhaust pipe 10. The upper part of the annular space 11 is connected to a gas inlet 4, while the upper part of the inward cylinder of the exhaust pipe 10 is connected to the gas outlet 5. A liquid discharge valve chamber 15 is located underneath a swirl chamber 14 which is located underneath the annular space 11. A float valve 16 of hollow sphere type is installed as the liquid discharge valve in the liquid discharge valve chamber 15. A draining part 21 that fans out downward is formed at the lower end of the inward cylinder of the exhaust pipe 10. The outside surface of the draining part 21 is covered with a water repellant material 22. Drops of water that fall down on the outside surface of the inward cylinder of the exhaust pipe 10 are blown outward at the surface of the draining part 21 to be separated from gas.
