<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal storage material that can store and release heat at a temperature in a range of 30-200°C, shows no phase change during the process, hardly corrodes peripheral materials, and can store a large amount of heat. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal storage material has, as its main component, potassium dititanate represented by general formula: K<SB>2</SB>Ti<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5-x</SB>nH<SB>2</SB>O (0≤x≤1, 0≤n≤2.7).
