摘要 In a game machine and a storage medium having a game program stored therein of the present invention, the concept of audience's voltage is introduced as the state of a third party into a competitive sports game in a virtual game space. The third party is differentiated from the athletes of both teams, i.e., the subjects of the competitive sports game. The relationship between the athletes and audience is allowed to be involved in the development of the game. By increasing the audience's voltage, a player of the game machine is allowed to play a different game (i.e., a bonus game), which will with a high probability result in granting the player an advantage in the game. Thus, the enjoyment arising from playing the competitive game is enhanced.
