PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrodesulfurization catalyst for a gasoline fraction which has a sufficiently high selective hydrodesulfurization capacity to maintain an octane number by enough controlling the hydrogenation of an olefin occurring as a side reaction when a catalytically cracked gasoline fraction of one of the important constituent base materials of gasoline is hydrodesulfurized and to enough reduce a sulfur content in the catalytically cracked gasoline fraction after hydrodesulfurization.
SOLUTION: In the hydrodesulfurization catalyst for the gasoline fraction, a carrier containing alumina as a main component is modified by an oxide of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of iron, chromium, cobalt, nickel, copper, and zinc, and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of group 6A metals and group 8 metals as an active metal is supported. In a hydrodesulfurization method for the gasoline fraction, when catalytically cracked gasoline is hydrodesulfurized, the hydrodesulfurization catalyst is used.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
|
