<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of assuring apparent image quality and displaying an image of high image quality. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel 20 is so constituted as to be made displaceable between an operation position where the touch panel faces a display panel 10 on an image display direction G side and a retraction position P2 on the side opposite to the image display direction G side retracted from the operation position by being turned by utilizing a turning mechanism 30. The displacement of the touch panel 20 to the operation position when in use and the displacement thereof to the retraction position P2 when not in use are made possible. Namely, the touch panel 20 can be universally displaced depending upon the presence or absence of use. Unlike the conventional display device with which a user is always forced to view the image through the touch panel as the touch panel is heretofore connected and fixed to the display panel, the user is enabled to view the image displayed on a display element 11 not through the touch panel 20 but directly by displacing the touch panel 20 to the retraction position P2 when not in use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
