NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system capable of acquiring each unique management information of equipment for equipment having no SNMP agent or MIB. SOLUTION: A management device transmits an acquisition request including an object ID showing management information to be acquired to a network management device. The network management device stores the respective information for each management object equipment in an expansion MIB. The network management device transmits an identifier in which the object ID included in the acquisition request transmitted from the manager device is converted to a format according to its unique protocol to the management object equipment. The management object equipment transmits, on receipt of the identifier, the value of the management information shown by the identifier to the network management device. The network management device transmits the value of the management information transmitted from the management object equipment to the manager device as a response to the acquisition request.
