PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide soft waxed paper with superior wet tensile strength. SOLUTION: This waxed paper has fiber webs 4, 4 including 50-100 wt% of rayon fiber with a thickness of 1.0-6.5 dtex and a fiber length of 25-55 mm, and 0-50wt% of polyethylene terephthalate fiber with a thickness of 1.0-6.5 dtex and a fiber length of 25-55 mm. A pulp layer 5 with a basis weight of 12-50 g/m<SP>2</SP>is held between the fiber webs 4, 4 and the three layers are integrally entangled to compose the waxed paper. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
