NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCE COMPRISING THE RNA PACKAGING SIGNAL OF A GROUP 1 CORONAVIRUS AND THE APPLICATIONS THEREOF

The nucleic acid sequence includes the RNA encapsidation signal of a group 1 coronavirus such as porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) situated between nucleotides 100 and 649 of the genome of said coronavirus. This sequence may be used to construct viral vectors that are useful in basic and applied research, for example, in the development of systems for expression of products of interest, vaccine vectors, and gene therapy.
