<p>High pressure die casting machine for aluminium, its alloys and similar metals comprising the metering of a predetermined amount of liquid metal into a cylindrical chamber between a pressure and counter pressure cylinder from a vertical, gas or air pressure operated displacement tube dipping into the melt crucible, and transfer of the metal between the two cylinders to a cold die chamber where it is displaced into the mould, the pressure cylinder having sealed off the metal inlet during its forward movement and hte counter pressure cylinder having reached a stop. After casting, the remainder of the melt between the two cylinders is held together by sufficient force to hold it, permitting separation of this scrap portion from the melt.</p> |
