PURPOSE: A sound reproducing device and a portable terminal device are provided to emit a sound by vibrating a front panel with energy of an emitted sound if the sound is emitted to a sound emitting space by an electromechanical acoustic transducer, thereby improving a sound reproducing performance. CONSTITUTION: An LCD(20) responds to an applied electric signal, and performs a predetermined operation. A space(24) for sound emitting is formed between a case(22) and the LCD(20). An electromechanical acoustic transducer(23) is connected to the case(22), and emits a sound to the space(24). When the electromechanical acoustic transducer(23) emits the sound to the space(24), energy of the emitted sound is used to vibrate the LCD(20) in order to emit the sound outside.
