PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a locker without a key are provided to automatically open/close the locker without using the key when a deliveryman or a recipient stores or puts out an article from the locker, and automatically inform the recipient of stored article information through the communication network. CONSTITUTION: An operation part(111) receives an operation signal of a user. A store processor(1181) stores a locker number and the first recipient information to a locker database(1171) if a store mode selection signal, the locker number, and the first recipient information are received from the operation part, and locks the selected locker. A reception processor(1183) searches the first recipient information identical with the second recipient information from the box database if a reception mode signal and the second recipient information are inputted from the operation part. If the matched first recipient information is searched, the reception processor displays the matched locker number on a display part(113) and unlocks the corresponding locker.
