PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device and a switching power source which can carry out both natural air cooling and forced air cooling effectively. SOLUTION: The cooling device 20 and the switching power source 1 have a heat radiating fin 40 wherein a plurality of fins 50 are disposed parallel on a base and a cover 42 with an opening 42o whereto a plurality of fins 50 are inserted, respectively.
