PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drag-free float capable of surely conducting a fall of tackle into a right fishing depth, when used in float fishing, such as floating angling, and capable of easily visual confirmation of proceeding of the fall of the tackle into the right fishing depth. SOLUTION: This drag-free float comprises a lump body so structured as to have a density of≤0.6 as a whole, wherein an open hole 12 through which a main fishing line 2 longitudinally passes is formed in the lump body, and a surface 131 or a concavity 133 which receives air resistance is formed on a leader side of the lump body, so that the float receives the air resistance, when cast in the float fishing, and therefore the float is transferred in the direction of a rod 4 by being slid on the main fishing line 2 from an initial position on which the float is attached to the main fishing line.
