PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably acquire information which is correlated to image data and available for image processing, and to output an image for which image processing suitable for the acquired information has been executed. SOLUTION: A CPU 211 determines that an acquired image file GF is a JPEG data storing file or a TIFF data storing file, and when it is the JPEG data storing file, determines whether or not marker segments APP0 and APP1 coexist. If the marker segments APP0 and APP1 do not coexist, the CPU 211 searches a marker segment APP6 and searches GI data GIapp to acquire the data. If the marker segment APP6 is not detected, the CPU 211 searches data GItiff or GIexif from an GI tag or an Exif tag of the APP1 to acquire it, conducts image adjusting processing for the JPEG data by using the acquired GI data, and outputs an image from a printing section 22.
