PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To catch paper dust and to maintain discharging performance by increasing the discharging capability of a transfer material. SOLUTION: The transfer device in an image forming apparatus is so constituted as to be arranged with a cloth-like discharging member formed with a plurality of notches in the positions facing the transfer material after transfer.
