Aspiration hood for decanting ladles

A hood for aspirating combustion gases during decanting molten pig iron is displaceable at the decanting pit and at two or more locations (ladle positions) to aspire the dust laden gas given off during decanting. When the hood is displaced, an aspiration pipe carried by the bogie carrying the hood is in communication with tubing connected with a dust removal installation. When the aspiration pipe connects with the tubing, other tube(s) leading to the gas scrubber are closed by covers also carried by the bogie acting simultaneously with the connection of the aspiration pipe and the tube. Each location (ladle position) is connected with decanting apparatus.
