PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of enhancing structural stability to seismic force with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This building (an advertisement tower T) has a foundation structure 20, and a superstructure 10 placed on an upper surface of the foundation structure. An under surface of the superstructure and the upper surface of the foundation structure are put in an edge-cut state, and are also put in a direct or indirect contact state. In the building, a seismic response control mechanism 30 for damping vertical directional displacement, is interposed between the superstructure and the foundation structure.
