PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid ejector and a liquid ejecting system for ejecting liquid toward a medium in an ink jet printer, or the like, in which the medium is prevented from being stained. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises an ejection head for ejecting liquid toward a medium, and a deposition section for depositing liquid ejected from the ejection head but not reaching on the medium wherein the depositing section is provided movably in the reaching direction of the liquid.
