PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an index of a distance on an on-vehicle monitor with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A distance index as an index of a distance is created by a distance index creating part 14a relative to an image photographed by a camera 15. Furthermore, the variation of a road surface gradient is obtained by a gradient information obtaining part 12 through an antenna 11, and a correction quantity relative to a display position of the distance index is calculated based on the variation of the gradient by a correction quantity calculating part 13. The distance index corrected according to the correction quantity calculated by the correction quantity calculating part 13 and the image photographed by the camera 15 are combined and displayed on the monitor 16 by an output image creating part 14.
