<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method by which a coating liquid with low viscosity in a low coating amount can be applied at high speed without causing application failure. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, a coating liquid having ≤5 mPa s viscosity in a coating amount of ≤25 ml/m<SP>2</SP>by a slide bead coating system is applied on a supporting body which continuously travels at ≥150 m/min velocity. The coating liquid contains at least one kind of nonionic surfactant and at least one kind of anionic surfactant. The concentration of the whole surfactant in the coating liquid is ≤1.5×10<SP>-1</SP>mass% or lower and the critical micelle concentration (CMC) or higher.
